THOMAS P. O’NEILL, III KEYNOTE SPEAKER
75TH BIENNIAL AOH/LAOH OHIO STATE CONVENTION
BOARDMAN, OH. – The keynote speaker at the 75th Biennial State of Ohio Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) Convention on Friday, July 8 at 9:30 a.m., Ballroom East-West, will be Thomas P. O’Neill, III, son of the late Speaker of the House Thomas “Tip” O’Neill. The convention is being held at the Holiday Inn, 4710 South Avenue, Boardman, OH, July 7 -10, 2005.
Tom O’Neill, the former Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts, is currently chief executive officer of O’Neill and Associates based in Boston, MA. O'Neill and Associates combines public relations and government relations to create a better brand of public affairs. Mr. O’Neill will speak about the History of Irish-American Relations.
The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) is a Catholic, Irish American Fraternal Organization founded in New York City on May 4, 1836. The Order can trace its roots back to a parent organization which has existed in Ireland for over 300 years. Active across the United States, the AOH seeks to foster and preserve Irish culture. The AOH has been at the political forefront for issues concerning the Catholic faith and Irish heritage issues such as; Immigration Reform, economic incentives, human rights issues, and a peaceful and just solution to the issues that divide Ireland.
