75th BIENNIAL STATE OF OHIO ANCIENT ORDER OF HIBERNIANS CONVENTION IN BOARDMAN, OH

 

BOARDMAN, OH. – The 75th Biennial State of Ohio Ancient Order of Hibernians Convention is being held at the Holiday Inn, 4710 South Avenue, Boardman, OH on July 7 -10, 2005. The keynote speaker on Friday, July 8 at 9:30 a.m., Ballroom East-West, will be Thomas P. O’Neill, III, son of the late Speaker of the House Thomas “Tip” O’Neill.

 

The Ancient Order of Hibernians, Joseph T. Nally, Division 6, (AOH) and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians (LAOH), Golden Rose, Queen of Ireland, Division 6, Youngstown, OH

has been selected to host this statewide event. The 2005 State Convention Chairperson is Patrick Chrystal, Sr., Youngstown, OH.

 

The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) is a Catholic, Irish American Fraternal Organization founded in New York City on May 4, 1836. The Order can trace its roots back to a parent organization which has existed in Ireland for over 300 years. Active across the United States, the AOH seeks to foster and preserve Irish culture. The AOH has been at the political forefront for issues concerning the Catholic faith and Irish heritage issues such as; Immigration Reform, economic incentives, human rights issues, and a peaceful and just solution to the issues that divide Ireland.
